“Plumblinks” is the name that I used for my
consulting biz. It was really hard coming up with a
name (and I had to do it in a hurry for various reasons
that are unimportant now), at least a name that was
unique so I could easily get a trademark ... so I took
“Plumb” from my old Firewire-days job title
at Apple, “Plumbing Architect”, and added
on “links” because it implied I/O
interconnects or networks. It helped that
“plumb” also has thesaurus entry of
“right, exactly, precisely, directly, dead,
straight”, which I found attractive.
